A big thank you Matthew Geary for delivering a great Hwb+ training session for the teachers involved in the Black Gold 2015 project. Everyone really enjoyed the afternoon and found the training really relevant to the project. The session was focused around the shared Black Gold 2015 page – which all the schools taking part in the project have access to.
The teachers found the wiki and blog training really useful and have already started using them in class. So far the pupils have blogged about the dangers of mining, their visits to the Rhondda Heritage Park and about the wow starter activities. The shared area gives the pupils an immediate audience for work and the pupils have enjoyed collaborating with children from schools. It’s also provided excellent opportunities for AFL – particular peer assessment.
Thanks to everyone who attended the day and to Matthew for another excellent Hwb+ training session.
